Michael Bosl
Audit Manager

Michael Bosl is an Audit Manager with KDV specializing in primarily government audits. Michael has experience in auditing cities, school districts, and Minnesota nonprofit organizations.  He believes that auditing is all about compiling accurate data from the past, necessary to begin making plans and adjustments of the future.  Michael has a concentration on quality - he is known for being detailed in his work and portraying accurate and useful data and information.  Michael has a strong commitment to his clients and is most passionate about earning his client’s respect and helping them improve.

Michael has 9 years of experience auditing Minnesota government entities and nonprofit organizations. Steve Wischmann

Steve is an Audit Partner with KDV and specializes in auditing governmental and nonprofit entities.  With over 25 years of experience, he provides expertise in Governmental Audits, Risk Assessments, and Fraud and Forensic.

Auditing entities ranging from $500 thousand to $1 billion in size has given Steve a unique perspective when approaching situations.  Steve explains that fraud prevention and detection is more critical now than ever and that, “KDV can make a real difference in our clients’ daily lives, reducing risk and increasing efficiency.”

Steve is certified in financial forensics (CFF) by the AICPA.  The CFF encompasses fundamental and specialized forensic accounting skills that CPA practitioners apply in a variety of service areas, including bankruptcy and insolvency, computer forensic  analysis, family law, valuations, fraud prevention, detection, and response, financial statement misrepresentation, and economic damages calculations.  Steve focuses on fraud prevention, detection and response and computer forensic analysis.

Steve is also a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE credential from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners).  As a CFE, he is skilled in four critical areas:  to fight against fraud, fraudulent financial transactions, criminology and ethics, and legal elements of fraud and fraud investigation.

Matt Mayer

Matt Mayer is a KDV Partner specializing in Government Audits.  Matt brings 15 years of experience in auditing governmental entities including: Cities, Townships, Fire Relief Associations, School Districts, Charter Schools, and Law Enforcement Agencies.

Jim Stelten is KDV Partner in charge of Client Experiences and Value Creation.  “My passion is to do things to impact businesses.   I enjoy meeting with clients, listening and learning what is affecting their business and finding ways we can create value and make a difference.”

Chris Shorba
